Availability of a product
As all products sold on the Variat marketplace are made to order they are always available.
Each product has its estimated manufacturing time listed in the "Made to order"section on its product page. Manufacturing time will also be be shown in the cart upon checkout.
Material samples may become unavailable for brief periods of time during periods of high demand. We are constantly preparing more so please check again at a later time.
Product warranty
Variat warrants all goods to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, and of acceptable quality and durability for the purpose for which they are designed. Warranties and guarantees are provided in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Upon delivery, all products have a 2-year guarantee for manufacturing defects. Our guarantee covers the repair and/or replacement of the affected parts in the event of manufacturing defects. For the validity of the guarantee, it is essential to provide the purchase details, product reference, the defect and the affected part, as well as images showing the damages or defects. If this information is not provided, we reserve the right not to enforce the guarantee, or to generate a charge for the transportation and repair of the product when the problem is not derived from a manufacturing defect covered by this guarantee.
The following are excluded from the guarantee:
- Products that show damage caused by an assembly not in accordance with the assembly instructions provided by Variat, as well as the use and maintenance of the product.
- Transporting the product without the original packaging.
- Burns, cuts, dints, creases, marks, scratches or other damage caused by animals or improper or incorrect use of the product as recommended and advertised.
- Use and contact with chemical products (acids, solvents, dyes, paint, ammonia, lacquers or other hairdressing products), treatment with cleaning products not indicated for the specific upholstery of the guaranteed product.
- Natural variations of colour or texture typical of normal use and/or maintenance not in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications.
- Non-premature wear or ageing of the product.
- Indirect damages and losses of any kind.
Do products arrive assembled?
It is specified in the "Made to order" section of the product page whether the product requires assembly or not. If it does require assembly, step by step assembly instructions will be included.
What's the true colour of a product?
We do our best to accurately present the colours and materials of products shown on our website. However, it's important to understand that there are a number of factors that impact appearance that are outside our control.
- Some materials feature natural variation in their shades and grain patterns, for example timber.
- Colours may appear different between a product image on a white background and one shown in a styled setting.
- Colours may appear different under different lighting conditions, for example shade versus direct sunlight.
- Individual screens, on all electronic devices, show colours differently. What looks correct on one screen may not on another.
To help overcome these challenges, Variat offers samples of materials that appear in our products. That way you can have confidence in the true colour of a product.
Material samples and store credit
We issue customers who purchase material samples with store credit equal to what they spend. For example, if a customer spends $15 on samples, they will receive $15 store credit. This credit can be spent on any future purchases.
We do this as we don't want cost to discourage customers from inspecting materials. We want our customers to be confident that what they receive will meet their expectations.
